Happy Planet was co-founded in 1994 by Randal Ius in British Columbia; the corporate FAQ describes the brand as Burnaby-based. The current owner Agrifoods International Cooperative Ltd. presents Happy Planet as one of its brands and describes the cooperative as farmer-owned in British Columbia. Ownership is assessed at the cooperative brand parent level. | Targeted 2026-10-08 evidence check: Agrifoods International Co-op corporate brand parent, BC founding, Burnaby base, selected Canadian production without blanket product origin flags.. Material identity, ultimate controller and Canadian HQ have existing primary corroboration. Unknown company-wide manufacture flags deliberately remain unknown when product-level/label evidence would not justify a binary claim.

Official FAQ states ALMOST ALL products are produced locally in British Columbia and Ontario; this establishes some domestic production but not that every SKU qualifies under Canadian food-labelling rules. Thus partially yes, blanket Made/Product unknown.
