About Harbour Air

Airline operating scheduled seaplane flights, scenic flights, charters and associated travel services in coastal British Columbia.

What to try

Harbour Air mainly operates short seaplane and regional flights from BC; Alaska Airlines uses conventional aircraft and does not directly replace point-to-point seaplane routes.

Canadian status

  • Canadian-founded
  • HQ in Canada

Harbour Air dates its founding by two pilots to 1982 in British Columbia. Current company-authored October 2026 recruitment material expressly labels 555 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC, as Head Office. Earlier corporate head office was in Richmond, BC, which remains an operating base; the current Vancouver headquarters replaces that historical address. On September 15, 2026 it announced an agreement to acquire Pacific Coastal Airlines; the deal requires regulatory approval and is not treated as completed. Birch Hill Equity is reported among investors, but current ultimate majority control is not established.
